The beginnings of the Artistic Weaving Mill Nagler, the first weaving business in our valley, reach back as far as 1857. The secrets of this craft industry have been passed on from father to son for 5 generations. However, even before this, the weavers of the Nagler family went from farm to farm and skilfully processed the wool and linen produced by the local farmers.
The thorough knowledge of the raw materials acquired through this firsthand experience became the solid foundation stone of the Artistic Weaving Mill Nagler, where art and craftsmanship have complemented one another, making it a top quality production centre.
In fact, the technical progress of the textile industry - which brought the change from a manual loom to a mechanical one, and finally to the electronic Jacquard loom - has greatly improved and perfected our woven fabrics.
